Introduction:  

  • A ghost appears to the officers when they are on duty. The guards realize that the ghost is dressed as Hamlet's father, so they look for the prince to tell him.

Rising Action

  • Hamlet finds the sudden news that his uncle and his mom are getting married. Hamlet goes through a series of psychological damages in which he doubts whether to kill himself or not. 

​

Climax: 

  • While Hamlet is going through an emotional crisis, the family of his beloved Ophelia tries to wash her head telling her that Hamlet does not love her.

Falling Action: 

  • The ghost returns, and the guards encourage Hamlet to go talk to him.

Resolution: 

​

  • It is the antonym of resolution because here the problem begins. The ghost is Hamlet's dad and tells him that it was Claudius who killed him.

Denouement: 

  • ​Hamlet's dad wants revenge and wants him to kill Claudius.
